Radha Kund Lake
Radhakund is a large lake, which is just 5 km north of Govardhan and 26 km west of Mathura. It was here that Shri Krishna is said to have killed a horrible devil. To remember the day when Lord Krishna slayed the bull demon, Arishta, every year, on the 8th day of the dark half of the month of Kartik (Oct./Nov.), a large fair is held at this spot. Just two kms away from here is the big, good-looking Kusum Sarovar, which is known for its extraordinary architecture and is the ideal venue for relaxation, after paying a visit to Radha Kund.
