Another legend says that most popular Vaishistha Muni had created 4 agnikula Rajput clans from a fire-pit by performing a yagna or fire sacrifice. In this way he rescued the Mother earth from the clutches of the evils. Yagna was conducted besides natural spring, which is located just below Mount Abu, Rajsthan.

Strategically Mount Abu, Rajasthan lie on the boundary between states like Rajasthan and Gujarat. Onece a part of the Chauhan kingdom Mount Abu served as a summer resort for the Rajput kings. Later it was leased by the British governemnt from the then Maharaja of Sirohi for use as head quarter of the resident to Rajputana (rajasthan). During the British rule, Mount Abu served as a sanatorium for the troops, who came here to escape the dusty and dry palins, particularly hot Rajasthan.
