Textile Weaving- This art is however mainly practiced by the women of Manipur. This handicraft of Manipur is also known as Laichamphi meaning cotton cloth. The craft was so named because before the second world war the use of woolen yarn was unknown to the Manipuris and they wove there textiles only with cotton yarns.
