Kapil Dhara falls (31 m, Son river, Anuppur)
PANDAV FALLS - are on one of the tributaries of the KEN RIVER, as the tributary plunges about 100 feet to join River Ken.
Located within the Panna national park on a tributary of the Ken river it gets its names from the legend which says that the Pandav brothers visited the place during the Mahabharata period. There are many caves nearby where the five brothers are supposed to have lived with their mother. It can be coupled with a trip to the famous temple town of Khajuraho and the beautiful falls of Gatha and Raneh that are nearby. Information on the river is not available.
This waterfall gets its name from a local legend. It is said that in the long ago past, in the time of the Mahabharata, when the Pandava brothers were exiled, they visited this region. Caves and shrines which commemorate this legend can be seen around the pool where the water lands after the fall.
These Falls are only about 1Km (0.62 miles) from the highway, and about 35 km (about 22 miles from Khajuraho, the home of the famous temples.
