Renowned as heart of India, Madhya Pradesh is beautiful state with lakes and hills. Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh. People from Hindu religion and Muslim religion live here along with different religious people. Gwalior, Khajuraho, Indore and Jabalpur are the tourist’s interest places in Madhya Pradesh.

Temples in Khajuraho are great example of ancient art. The unique image carvings on the wall of temples attract the people. This ancient art is also famous in outside of the country. On the other side, Gwalior fort is another notable monument in Madhya Pradesh. Built by Raja Man Singh Tomar, this fort is the main attraction of Gwalior city. Travelers can enjoy wild life here at Kanha National Park and Gandharva National Park and elephant safari is available here.

Tourists can also view the lakes in Bhopal city. Local people and tourists as well visit these lakes. Boating and some food’s shops are available there. Kerwa dam is an interesting picnic spot in Bhopal. Bhojpur temple in Bhopal is very old and religious place. People visit there and pay the tribute to lord Shiva.

People of Madhya Pradesh are both vegetarian and non vegetarian. They use strong spices in their food and they equally eat rice and wheat. Made from pure desi ghee, sweets of Madhya Pradesh really delight the people. You can find good sweet shops, hotels and restaurant in every part of Madhya Pradesh.

Chanderi work on cotton and silk sarees are famous in Madhya Pradesh. Travelers can also buy tribals items and metal pieces of art here.
