Flora and Fauna- As Vythiri houses the Evergreen Rain Forests, it is rich in wildlife characteristic of evergreen forests. There is dense undergrowth, thick foliage, mosses and lichens cover the trunks of trees and there are a large number of pine, conifer and fir trees. Wild animals like Nilgiri langur, thrush and Malabar squirrel frequent the branches of the trees. The small streams and waterbodies sustain a wide assortment of wildlife including colorful insects and birds.

Edakkal Caves - These caves form a part of the Ambukuthi Hills, located about 10 kms from Sultan Bathery, in Wayanad district of Kerala. A huge crack in the rock resulted in the formation of these caves with picturesque beauty.
Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary- This wildlife sanctuary, set up in1973 is a well- preserved and is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve of Kerala. This sanctuary is a home to varied wildlife and trees like deciduous teak, bamboo and so on.
Chembra peak: The Chembra is the loftiest peak in Wayanad with an altitude of 2100 m above sea level. This place is a favorite with the trekking-buffs.
