The name Golden Crown befits the beautiful Ponmudi, for it truly adorns God's Own Country, like a precious gem studded diadem graces the temple of a king. It is located at an astounding 3,200 feet above the level of the sea and at a distance of 61 kilometers from Trivandrum in the district of Thiruvananthapuram.
