Sri Krishna Museum, Kurukshetra - established in the year 1987, the Sri Krishna Museum in Kurukshetra is a major crowd puller today. The museum displays ancient and modern art objects related to Mahabharata or to be specific Lord Krishna. Antique objects collected from Kurukshetra have also enriched the museum.
Urusvati Museum of Folklore, Gurgaon - located at Madhram in Gurgaon, this museum is an exceptional one. The Urusvati Museum in Shilkopur is dedicated to the treasure of Indian folk stories and showcases them through diagrams, paintings, sculptures etc. It emphasize on the legendary love stories of the country. The Government Museum and Art Gallery in Sector 10-C, designed by Le Corbusier is situated in the heart of the city. Inaugurated on 1968, the museum constitutes three wings- an Art Gallery, Natural History Museum and the City Museum.
The City Museum opened in 1997, narrates the growth of Chandigarh city. The museum displays some rare plans, sketches and relevant photographs prepared by the Master Planner of the City. It also gives a glimpse of the original documents pertaining to the planning and evolution of the city.
The Natural History Museum or Museum of Evolution of Life opened to public on 1973 comprise various sections like Evolution of Man, Dinosaurs section, Cyclorama of Evolution of Life, Nature in Art and Manuscript.
This museum situated in Bal Bhawan in Sector 23, contains puppets and more than 300 dolls from nearly every country in the world. Inaugurated on 24th December 1985, the museum provides amusement to children. A toy train is also displayed in the museum.
