Gandhinagar is the capital of Gujarat state, west-central India. Gandhinagar lies on banks of the Sabarmati River. Gandhinagar is well known for its Educational and Research Institutes. Gandhinagar is known as second planned city in India after Chandigarh. There are 30 sectors around the central government complex. Each sector having its own shopping centre, health centre, schools and community centre.

Major tourist attraction of Gandhinagar is the famous Akshardham temple. Other attractions are Children's Park, Sarita Udyan and Capital Complex.

Gandhinagar Weather : The weather is hot through the months of March to June when the maximum temperature stays in the range of 36 °C and 42 °C, and the minimum in the range of 19 °C and 27 °C. From November to February, the average maximum temperature is around 29 °C, the average minimum is 14 °C, and the climate is extremely dry. The southwest monsoon brings a humid climate from mid-June to mid-September.
