Goa can be compared to any other state in India as far as the arts and crafts are concerned. The art and craft of Goa is the product of the aesthetic blend of Portuguese and Indian cultures. Goans have contributed greatly to the world of music. Many famous names on the Indian music scene originate from Goa. Famous singers such as Lata Mangeshkar and Kishori Amonkar in the classical variety and Remo Fernandes in pop music are from Goa.
